Lexington is 5-0 against South Davidson since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lexington Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the South Davidson Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought game, but Lexington had to settle for a 51-49 loss against East Davidson.
Despite the loss, Lexington got a solid performance out of Tay Bostic, who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Lily Ervin, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, South Davidson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by North Rowan at home and fell 65-23. South Davidson has struggled against North Rowan recently, as their matchup on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Lexington bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for South Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Lexington strolled past South Davidson in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 63-46. Does Lexington have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Davidson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
