The Jefferson Panthers waltzed into their matchup Saturday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They walked away with a 59-49 win over Ennis. That's another feather in the cap for Jefferson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Arena Faler, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and six assists. Faler also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryian Eveland, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Jefferson pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Ennis, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will take on Broadwater at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ennis will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st.
