Schuylerville is a perfect 6-0 against Broadalbin-Perth since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Lilly Herrick made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Herrick was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Lucy Myers was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Ella Eichorst was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Schuylerville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gloversville only posted an OBP of .263.
Meanwhile, Broadalbin-Perth started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Queensbury. They lost 14-2 to the Spartans on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by exactly 12 runs.
Broadalbin-Perth's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Schuylerville, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Schuylerville's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Horses have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Broadalbin-Perth, though, as they've been averaging only 0.5 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Schuylerville continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Schuylerville's way against Broadalbin-Perth in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Schuylerville made off with a 16-5 victory. Will the Horses repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
