Drew's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 61-26 loss at the hands of Northgate. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Drew in their matchups with Northgate: they've now lost four in a row.
DeAsia Stinson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds for Northgate. Randria Wilcher was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 16 steals.
Drew dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.5 points per game. As for Northgate, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Drew will take on Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northgate, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against McIntosh at 6:00 p.m. McIntosh will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while Northgate is ranked 133rd).
