The Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon Hornets won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a serious blow against Westhope/Newburg, falling 68-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon has scored all season.
It was another big night for Walker Braaten, who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals for Westhope/Newburg. That makes it three consecutive games in which Braaten has scored at least a third of Westhope/Newburg's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Tolstad, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Westhope/Newburg, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon will face off against Drake/Anamoose at TBD on Tuesday. Drake/Anamoose is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Westhope/Newburg will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
