After four games on the road, Swan Valley is heading back home. They will take on the Mt. Pleasant Oilers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Swan Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Mt. Pleasant is ranked 99th).
Last Tuesday, Swan Valley escaped with a win against Garber by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51.
Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The game between Mt. Pleasant and Powers Catholic wasn't particularly close, with Mt. Pleasant falling 74-55. Mt. Pleasant has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Swan Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Mt. Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Swan Valley came up short against Mt. Pleasant when the teams last played back in December of 2016, falling 58-51. Can Swan Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
