Alexander unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 48-6 loss at the hands of the Sprayberry Yellow Jackets on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 66th).
Despite the loss, Alexander still got an impressive performance from Asahud Tehuti, who rushed for 75 yards and one TD.
Sprayberry's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances.
