The Kennedy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a hard 58-42 fall against Albany. Kennedy has struggled against the Cougars recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Kennedy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Martin, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Scarbrough, who scored 13 points.
Kennedy dropped their record down to 6-17 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Albany, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-7.
Kennedy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gauchos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Cerrito is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Albany, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. Las Lomas has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 578 points over their last eight games.
