Softball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Northwest Area's Winning Streak

After flying high against Sullivan County on Wednesday, Northwest Area came back down to earth. The Rangers took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crestwood Comets on Saturday. The Rangers' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Northwest Area saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Ruckle, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Ruckle has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played.

Northwest Area's defeat dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Crestwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Northwest Area will challenge Montgomery at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Crestwood, they will face off against Dallas at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
