On Friday, the Rancocas Valley Red Devils's game was all tied up 33-33 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 62-52 win over Westampton Tech. Given Rancocas Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Panthers are ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daelan Dickerson, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Dickerson is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. Another player making a difference was Shakur Anderson, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Rancocas Valley's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Westampton Tech, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rancocas Valley will take on the Flashes at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Westampton Tech, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Cherry Hill East is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
