Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Centennial

Centennial waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs. The Coyotes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Kylee Raven spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jordynn McClain was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Breanna MacNab, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Centennial hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two strikeouts batters in four consecutive contests.

Centennial's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Sunrise Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Centennial will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
