The Ware Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Belchertown Orioles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ware is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Ware came up short against Wahconah Regional on Friday, falling 14-8. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Logan Millet and Kyle Kaczuwka did some serious damage despite the final result: Millet went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Kaczuwka went 2-for-3 with three runs. Jack Gaudreau was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Belchertown can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against Agawam by a score of 8-4.
Canyon Charron made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Belchertown's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 2-8 when he doesn't). Charron was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Joe Minnon was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nathan Marino, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
Belchertown's record is now 5-9. As for Ware, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ware has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Belchertown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Ware suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Belchertown in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
