The Lynbrook Vikings won the last time they faced the Monta Vista Matadors, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Lynbrook came out on top in a nail-biter against Monta Vista and snuck past 2-1. Reagan Markert had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Lynbrook.
Lynbrook's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9-3. As for Monta Vista, they now have a losing record at 7-8-3.
Lynbrook will head out on the road to challenge Milpitas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lynbrook's last six games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Monta Vista, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Homestead at 7:00 p.m. Homestead's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
