North Cobb (Kennesaw, Ga.) grabbed the lead when it ran for a touchdown with 7:00 left in the fourth quarter and held on to upset
Mill Creek (Hoschton, Ga.) 42-35 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured three lead swaps.
The Hawks pulled ahead on a
Daniel David touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 21-7. The Warriors scored the winning points with a touchdown run that came in the fourth quarter.
David made a difference for Mill Creek. The sophomore quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for two touchdowns. His performance brought his touchdown total to eight on the year.
The defeat comes as a step back for Mill Creek, which notched a 56-21 victory over Brookwood in its previous outing.
