Davian Stephenson Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Davian Stephenson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Chowchilla to the win on Friday. Stephenson rushed for 290 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 87 yards and a touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (100.7). He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 66 yards.
Chowchilla's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Stephenson will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Minarets on Friday.

Talan Lamattina Turns in Season-Best Effort
Talan Lamattina produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Liberty to the win on Friday. Lamattina rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making 12 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Minarets had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Lamattina it was a similar story. Lamattina rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in October of 2023.

Xaidyn Camacho Has Career-Day on Friday
Xaidyn Camacho produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Riverdale to the win on Friday. Camacho rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 146 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Unfortunately for Yosemite, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Camacho. When Camacho last faced the Badgers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 82 yards and a touchdown.

Big Game from Smith As Fowler Fell 55-29
Fowler had to settle for second on Friday, but Jerod "Bubba" Smith sure wasn't going down easily. Despite the defeat, Smith was still balling out as he threw for 396 yards and four touchdowns.
Fowler's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. Smith and Fowler are taking a road trip to challenge Riverdale at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Ethan Dunn Leads Liberty over Minarets
On Friday, Liberty got the W thanks in part to Ethan Dunn playing the best football he has all season. Dunn rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks and making four total tackles.
This season, Dunn has run in 2 touchdowns while averaging 43.1 rushing yards per game.
