The Scott's Branch Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Johnsonville by a score of 65-54. The win was a breath of fresh air for Scott's Branch as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Leading Scott's Branch to victory were Chris Barringer and Nigel Lawson. Barringer scored 14 points along with five rebounds, while Lawson scored 12 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barringer has scored all season. Randy Williams was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five steals.
Johnsonville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Damarion Hampton, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Wilson, who scored ten points.
Scott's Branch's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Johnsonville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Scott's Branch will head out on the road to square off against Bethune-Bowman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bethune-Bowman will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Johnsonville will take on East Clarendon at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (East Clarendon is ranked 300th, while Johnsonville is ranked 281st).
