Gavin Diegnan gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Even though Diegnan couldn't lead Wantagh over Clarke, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Diegnan's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Warriors' six-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Diegnan and the Warriors surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Wednesday's match.
