Nicholas Gaoa Turns in Season-Best Effort
Nicholas Gaoa produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Barstow to the win on Thursday. Gaoa rushed for 186 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 33 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Barstow pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Gaoa and Barstow will challenge Victor Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Weiss As Silverado Won 18-12
Jace Weiss's big game helped extend Silverado's winning streak to three on Thursday. Granite Hills had no answer to Weiss as he rushed for 48 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 170 yards on 14 of 25 attempts.
For the year, Weiss has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 186.2 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had two rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 11.

Dwayne Williams Makes It Two for Barstow
The second Barstow player making an appearance here is Dwayne Williams, and for good reason. He threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 58 yards on only seven carries.
If the past is any indication, Williams could be in store for another big game when he takes on Victor Valley on Thursday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Williams saw the Jackrabbits), he rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
