Mourning is 0-10 against the Chargers since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Mourning Sharks' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the North Miami Beach Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Mourning was beaten by the Rockets 81-38. Mourning has not had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, North Miami Beach pushed their score all the way to 62 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 77-62 bruising from Jackson. North Miami Beach has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jaycob Joseph put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Dixson Brumaire was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Mourning's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for North Miami Beach, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-11.
Mourning came up short against the Chargers in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 72-65.
