The Wilson Bulldogs gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pottsville and snuck past 37-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wilson also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Several Crimson Tide players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christian Alvarez, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Letrel Montone, who scored 8 points.
Wilson's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Pottsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson will face off against Central Dauphin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pottsville, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastern Lebanon County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
