Basketball Recap: Meadville Sets Scoring Season-High Against Northwestern

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Meadville). They took down the Northwestern Eagles 78-60 on Friday. Meadville pushed the score to 60-37 by the end of the third, a deficit Northwestern cut but never quite recovered from.

Meadville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Walker Norris, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and three steals. That's the most points Norris has posted since back in February of 2024. Caden Raymo also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Meadville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Northwestern, their record is now 1-4.

Meadville will be playing at home against Linn County at 8:15 p.m. on Monday. Northwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
