After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Boone, Dixon was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Byron Tigers 8-7. This was payback for the Dukes And Duchesses, who suffered a 6-4 loss the last time these two teams met.
Presley Carver was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Breanna Tegeler was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Dixon hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Byron struck out six times.
The victory got Dixon back to even at 6-6. As for Byron, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
