Northland Christian is 9-1 against Faith West Academy since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Northland Christian Cougars will be playing at home against the Faith West Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Northland Christian has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2.
Northland Christian pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 74-59 fall against Alpha Omega Academy.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Andon "AJ" Newton, who scored 20 points along with six assists and five rebounds. That was a full 33.9% of Northland Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Pallanez, who scored 24 points.
Faith West Academy suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by St. Francis Episcopal at home and fell 82-14. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Faith West Academy has scored all season.
Northland Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Faith West Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Northland Christian strolled past Faith West Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 51-32. Will Northland Christian repeat their success, or does Faith West Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
