The Dos Palos Broncos struggled with offensive rebounds on Wednesday (the East Bakersfield Blades had 12 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Dos Palos took a serious blow against East Bakersfield, falling 83-51. Dos Palos lost against East Bakersfield in their previous head to head back in December of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 70-44 score last time.
Despite the loss, Dos Palos still got an impressive performance from Jacquez Jones, who scored 17 points. Jones scored a full 33.3% of Dos Palos' points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jacob Renteria was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Among those leading the charge was Christian Aguirre, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Ramos, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Dos Palos' defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for East Bakersfield, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
