While Canyon View put up plenty of  points on Thursday, the same  can't be said for Copper Canyon. The Canyon View Jaguars simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Copper Canyon Aztecs 63-0 on the road. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by 28  points or more this season.
 It was another big night for  Katelyn Jewell, who threw for 249 yards and six touchdowns while completing 84.6% of her passes, and also caught a touchdown.  Gianah Vega was another key player, throwing for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
 Canyon View's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done.  Maycie Bassett picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Canyon View and  bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Copper Canyon, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when  Jaguars takes on Wildcats at 6:00  p.m.  on October 15th. As for Copper Canyon, they will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Havasu at 6:00  p.m.  on October 15th.
