The Saint James Trojans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 64-53 victory over Pike Road. That's another feather in the cap for Saint James, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Natalie Barton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 6 assists. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Card, who scored 17 points.
Saint James has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Pike Road, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saint James' road trip will continue as they head out to face Montgomery Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on December 4th. Hopefully Montgomery Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for Pike Road, they will head out on the road to face off against Marbury at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
