Kingman Academy won the last time they faced Wickenburg and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers never let the Wranglers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Tigers have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Emily Mathys made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Ava Sanders was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Sanders, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
