The biggest upset of the week belonged to Monticello, who took down 95th ranked DeWitt, 28-20.
Warren extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region 8 this week by beating Lakeside, 45-0. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Warren's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Drake Jones threw for 256 and 3 touchdowns and Von Eric Gonder had 104 yards receiving. On the ground Trent Broughton chipped in 31 yards. Jaylon Marshall helped Warren's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 77 yards.
Broughton was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 31 yards on 5 carries as the Lumberjacks bested the Beavers. Dennis Daniels also contributed to the rushing game with 22 yards on the ground.
Warren's Jones and Darveon Brown have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Jones has thrown for 1,702 yards this season, while Brown, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 31 catches for 599 yards. Charles Dabner from the Dragons leads the league in rushing with 585 yards.
The Lumberjacks took down Lakeside 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jones during the win.
