Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the North Park Wildcats walked away with it. They took down the Trojans 55-38  on Thursday. The  win was familiar territory for North Park who now have three in a row.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Gavin Pittington, who  scored 16 points along with seven  assists. Another player making a difference was  Jace Cornelison, who  scored 12 points.
 Ouray's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Cavan Pasek, who  scored 19 points along with seven  rebounds and five  blocks, and  Landen Hill who  scored 12 points along with five  rebounds and two  steals. Pasek has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's  played.
 North Park is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record  this season. As for Ouray, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost six of their last seven games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record  this season.
 North Park's road trip will continue as they head out to face De Beque at 5:00  p.m.  on February 23rd. North Park will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 279th, while De Beque is ranked 130th). Ouray does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
