Despite the defeat, Sebeka saw an underclassman step up: Max Lake scored 14 points along with nine steals. Lake hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Zack Thornton was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Sebeka has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Underwood, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sebeka will take on Pine River-Backus at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Underwood won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy at 7:15 p.m. on January 16th. Hillcrest Lutheran Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Underwood in Minnesota (Hillcrest Lutheran Academy is ranked 138th, while Underwood is ranked 321st).
