It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Silver had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Valencia Jaguars as they made off with a 14-1 win. The Fighting Colts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Maria Ruelaz was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Vanessa Lucero was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles and three RBI.

Silver was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Silver is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Valencia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-15.

Coming up, Silver will challenge St. Pius X at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Fighting Colts will need to watch out since the Sartans have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. Valencia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
