Randolph County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Comer on Tuesday as they made off with a 20-5 victory. Considering Randolph County has won 16 matchups by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Randolph County got a massive performance out of Hannah Parmer, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Bryer Thompson was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Randolph County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Comer only posted an OBP of .350.
Meanwhile, Ragland came into Tuesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Winterboro with a sharp 20-3 win on Tuesday.
Ragland let Anna Burnham and Sabrina Rodgers run wild. Burnham went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI, while Rodgers went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Rodgers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hadley Elliott, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.
Ragland's victory bumped their record up to 10-17. As for Randolph County, their win bumped their record up to 20-7.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Randolph County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .506. However, it's not like Ragland struggles in that department as they've averaged .445. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
