16. (20) Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.), 28-6Already winners of the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference tournament title and VISAA Division 1 state crown, the Panthers have their eyes on the prestigious Alhambra Catholic Invitational crown later this week. Joining Paul VI in Maryland for that event will be fellow WCAC powers Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, Va.), DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) and St. John's (Washington, D.C.), along with host Bishop Walsh (Cumberland, Md.), Benedictine (Richmond, Va.), Calvert Hall (Baltimore) and Mount St. Joseph (Baltimore).
17. (21) Our Savior New American (Centereach, N.Y.), 28-3The Pioneers are 6-0 in tournament play over the past two weekends. OSNA would love a shot to play in Dick's Nationals but may be on the outside looking in barring organizers wanting a local presence in the event.
18. (23) Stevenson (Lincolnshire, Ill.), 28-1All-American candidate
Jalen Brunson went for 25 points as the Patriots cruised past Warren (Gurnee) 79-59 to advance in the Illinois Class 4A state playoffs. Stevenson will face St. Viator (Arlington Heights) on Tuesday in the sectional semifinals.
19. (NR) North Shore (Houston), 35-3The newly-crowned Texas 5A state champions won 17 in a row to close the season. North Shore is ranked No. 3 nationally in the MaxPreps Computer Rankings thanks in part to wins over strong Lone Star State programs like Atascocita (Humble), DeSoto, Fort Bend Bush (Richmond), Judson (Converse) and Plano West. The Mustangs also beat arguably Oklahoma's top team in Putnam City West.
20. (NR) Orlando Christian Prep (Orlando, Fla.), 30-1Season complete. Class 2A state champions. The Warriors beat five teams that played for a state title in Florida and went 5-1 against out-of-state competition. A signature win is lacking but OCP was a four-point loss away from a perfect season.
