Even though the Boonville Pirates scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, the Moberly Spartans still came out on top. Moberly walked away with a 68-60 win over Boonville. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Moberly.
Moberly's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Bivins, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Kish Jacobs jr, who scored 12 points.
Moberly now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Boonville, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-1.
Moberly will head out on the road to face off against Hannibal at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boonville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against North Callaway.
