Macksville is 0-6 against Central Christian since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Macksville Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Central Christian Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Macksville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Central Christian is ranked 18th).
Last Saturday, Macksville had to suffer through a rough 58-20 loss at the hands of South Gray.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Laney Butler, who scored 4 points. Kambry Adams was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Central Christian put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Goessel by a score of 36-25.
Their wins bumped Macksville to 2-2 and South Gray to 3-0.
Macksville came up short against Central Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 55-43. Thankfully for Macksville, Kaylee Kauffman (who scored 21 points along with 6 assists and 5 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
