When it comes to explaining why Waterbury Career Academy lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Andrew Williams. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 35 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zaire Lott, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Leading Woodland Regional to victory were Ethan Stepputtis and James Scampolino. Stepputtis dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten assists, while Scampolino scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. William Delucia was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Waterbury Career Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Woodland Regional, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.
