The Man Hillbillies couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They suffered a tough 58-36 defeat at the hands of Scott on Tuesday. Man lost against Scott in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 67-47 score last time.
Scott's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kelsey Harper, who scored 28 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Harper has scored at least 25% of Scott's points. Cheyenne Robinson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Man's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Scott, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Man will head out on the road to face off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Scott, they will be playing at home against Sherman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
