Brookstone lost against Spencer back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars lost to the Greenwave at home by a 54-38 margin. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Brookstone's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Zwickey, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julie Anne Pyle, who put up nine points.

Brookstone suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-4. As for Spencer, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Brookstone will square off against Lee-Scott Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Pyle and Clarke Ivatt. As for Spencer, they will challenge Jordan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
