The Redwater Dragons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against New Boston by a score of 75-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Redwater found their leader in underclassman Tyris Crowell, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Crowell hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Marquez Jones, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Redwater pushed their record up to 20-10 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for New Boston, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
Redwater will face off against Pewitt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Redwater focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. As for New Boston, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against De Kalb at 6:00 p.m. New Boston is facing De Kalb at the right time seeing as De Kalb is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
