Clay Taylor of Valley Christian Academy ran for the longest rushing play in Coast Valley (8 Man) this season against Maricopa last week. Taylor ran for 74 yards on the play and finished with 92 on the day as his team defeated the Indians.
Cuyama Valley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Riverdale Christian, 52-28. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Valley Christian Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jed Hedlund has thrown for 1436 yards and 32 touchdowns this season, while Malac Taylor has 29 catches for 650 yards. Andy Wilson leads the league in rushing with 607 yards.
A big matchup in Coast Valley (8 Man) this week will be when Shandon takes on Maricopa. At the moment, the Outlaws are in third, while Al Allen's team is in fourth.
Valley Christian Academy took down the Indians 46-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hedlund threw for 82 yards and three touchdowns and ran for eight yards in the win.
