The Notre Dame Catholic Lancers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by Oxford on the road to the tune of 35-0. Notre Dame Catholic's victory was all the more impressive since Oxford was averaging only 15.36 points allowed on the season.
Antwan Davis was his usual excellent self, rushing for 214 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Davis has been hot recently, having posted six or more solo tackles the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryson Razor, who threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns.
Notre Dame Catholic's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Oxford, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2.
Notre Dame Catholic will be staying on the road on Sunday to face off against Bloomfield at 12:30 p.m. on December 3rd. Bloomfield is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Oxford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
