Sadly, the Jackson North Side Indians are still looking for their first win of the season after 25 games. They were dealt a 61-23 defeat at the hands of Hardin County on Friday. While losing is never fun, Jackson North Side can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 380th, while Hardin County is ranked 189th).
Despite the loss, Jackson North Side still got an impressive performance from Nikhara Robinson, who scored 16 points. Robinson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Even though they lost, Jackson North Side smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. This was only their 19th loss (out of 19 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Jackson North Side's defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-25. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.6 points per game. As for Hardin County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-12.
Jackson North Side does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hardin County also has no future games currently scheduled.
