The Denison Yellow Jackets will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lovejoy Leopards at 6:15 p.m. Denison is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
Denison suffered their biggest defeat since November 21, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by McKinney North 53-20. Denison has not had much luck with McKinney North recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Meanwhile, Lovejoy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 83-12 victory over Greenville on the road. The win was a breath of fresh air for Lovejoy as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Denison has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Lovejoy, their win bumped their record up to 19-12.
Denison was taken down by Lovejoy 82-20 in their previous matchup on January 2nd. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Denison was down 47-12.
