Grimsley is 8-2 against Page since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Grimsley Whirlies will be home for the holidays to greet the Page Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Grimsley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 80-54 margin over Northwest Guilford. The result was nothing new for Grimsley, who have now won three games by 24 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grimsley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Richard Goods, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The game was Goods' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nick Keith, who scored 17 points along with six assists.
Meanwhile, Page beat Ragsdale 60-50 on Friday.
Grimsley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30 points. As for Page, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.
Grimsley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Page in their previous matchup back in February, but they still walked away with a 58-53 victory. Does Grimsley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Page turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
