FREMONT, Calif. - In spite of trailing
Mission San Jose (Fremont, Calif.) 26 points,
Kennedy (Fremont, Calif.) surged back to grab a 81-53 win over
Mission San Jose (Fremont, Calif.) Saturday.
After taking the lead on a field goal, the Warriors went into halftime with a 41-27 lead. The Titans took the lead for good with a field goal in the second quarter.
Mission San Jose expanded its lead to 26 points entering the fourth quarter. MSJ scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by
Eric Chaing.
Waymond McKissick was one of the big reasons Kennedy got the victory, as the senior threw four touchdowns.
The win was a nice bounce back for KHS, which lost to Irvington last week, 48-27. The victory snapped Kennedy's three-game losing streak.
In a Mission Valley game next week Kennedy (4-4) takes on American, and Mission San Jose (1-7) will go up against Moreau Catholic also in a Mission Valley game.
