There's no place like home for the Exeter Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They secured a 36-30 W over Sheldon on Friday. This was payback for Exeter, who suffered a 56-46 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Sheldon saw an underclassman step up: Aiden Bogart dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds. Bogart is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Ellifrits, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Exeter's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Sheldon, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Exeter will take on Jefferson Independent Day at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sheldon, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against School of the Ozarks at 5:30 p.m. on February 3rd. School of the Ozarks is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.
