St. Charles West had a rough outing against Fort Zumwalt East last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. St. Charles West were the clear victor by a 52-24 margin over Winfield. That result was just more of the same for St. Charles West, who also won the last time these teams played.
St. Charles West's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 31 points in the first half. Winfield came up with 16 to make it 31-16 heading into the break. The St. Charles West defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match. The win got them back to even at 2-2. The loss dropped Winfield's record to 3-1.
Next week St. Charles West take on Warrenton at 7:00 PM. As for Winfield, they will face off against Orchard Farm.
