The Fox Tech Buffaloes have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They took their contest at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 55-17 victory over KIPP University Prep. That's another feather in the cap for Fox Tech, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Fox Tech can attribute much of their success to Zoie Silvas, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Silvas has scored at least 25% of Fox Tech's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Celeste Tovar, who scored 11 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Fox Tech has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 3-11 record. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.8 points per game. As for KIPP University Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fox Tech will take on Comfort at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Comfort comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for KIPP University Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Antonio Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
