The O'Neill Eagles lost against the Cedar Catholic Trojans back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. O'Neill took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cedar Catholic. O'Neill has struggled against Cedar Catholic recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Autumn Hilker, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Hilker, who scored 12 points.
The last time O'Neill won on the road was back on Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away games, they've bumped their record down to 1-3. As for Cedar Catholic, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
O'Neill will be playing at home against Pierce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cedar Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Norfolk Catholic at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Norfolk Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
