The Lancaster Eagles will head out to challenge the Colton Yellowjackets at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Lancaster is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.

Jordyn Zinn was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Colton entered their tilt with Bloomington on Wednesday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Bruins. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won 15 matches by six runs or more so far this season.
ALYSSA RAMIREZ was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024.
In other batting news, STEPHANIE DELACRUZ was excellent, going 2-for-4 with four runs and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of MALEAH JUAREZ, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Colton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 12 consecutive games.
Colton's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lancaster, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lancaster has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .509. However, it's not like Colton struggles in that department as they've averaged .507. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
